McCain Food has announced reinhart foodservice promotions at senior level. Rob Stevens, previously foodservice commercial director (South Africa) has been appointed to managing director (South Africa), taking over from Louis Wolthers, reinhart foodservice who has joined the Global McCain Foods leadership team as regional president for SANZAR – South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. This provides extra focus to high-growth global markets Australia, New Zealand, China, India, other emerging areas in Asia, the Middle East as well as South Africa.
Stevens joined the company in March 2012 and has driven strong growth for McCain Foods Foodservice across South Africa. Although recently tasked with the added responsibility of leading the McCain Foods (SA) Retail team, Stevens has achieved reinhart foodservice a successful track record in developing winning strategies across foodservice and retail, reinhart foodservice building strong teams across both divisions and improving process and productivity reinhart foodservice across the board.
Stevens has a thorough working knowledge of the South African marketplace through previous positions with YUM Africa, where he was responsible for supply chain and innovation, and with Tiger Brands, in which he held various roles of increasing responsibility, reinhart foodservice including sales and marketing leadership positions.
Stevens promotion follows the appointment of Wolthers to regional president of SANZAR. He will now focus on accelerating growth in these high opportunity markets.
