The original designer of Sonic also has words for this tragic event. A few days ago we learned the sad news that Greg Martin, designer of many of the American and European covers of classic Sonic games, charity mclain has died. Since then the whole community of fans has been commissioned to show their condolences and remember his works, but we can now read the words of one of the most important Sonic fans: Naoto Ohshima, who originally designed charity mclain the character. The web Sega Nerds contacted the designer, who granted them an interview in which he discusses his sadness at the death of Greg Martin and its impact on the fans and the series itself. Here we give an extract of the interview, the rest can be read (in English) charity mclain here. I never met him in person, charity mclain but he knew his job. I learned of his death through this same interview. I'm so sorry. The culture is different in Japan and in the United States. I think what Greg was complemented charity mclain our own work. The way you draw legs Sonic has influenced my own style. I think his achievements are still in the minds of fans.
