One exciting leron mcclain trend, I see the illustrations leron mcclain in the books for adult readers. Not only in the affected Brian Selznick (Scholastic, in which the illustrations tell you one of the stories, but also in other novels, far beyond the chapter of the book, for example, Monster Calls (Candlewick Patrick Ness, inspired by an idea from Siobhan Dowd; Ghetto Cowboy (Candlewick Nehru , as evidenced by Jesse Joshua Watson, Apothecary (Putnam at Mile Mel, as evidenced by Ian Schoenherr, and why we broke up (Little, Brown to Daniel Handler, as evidenced by Maira Kalman. Memoirs of Allen Say's From Memory (Scholastic includes photos, pictures from his youth, traditional illustration and comic panels to tell his amazing story. And, of course, graphic novels, there are many more to choose leron mcclain from than in the past. This is an exciting development.
A trend that began several years ago, but seems to be growing, a change in the appearance of books for beginning readers. Standard simple reader trim size / format is becoming rare, and some picture books seem to have been for the reader in a previous life, such as Mo Willems to ur Amanda Her Alligator! (Balzer + Bray, who was on our list of spring. See Me Run (Holiday House by Paul Meisel is a leveled picture book for new readers, and Frog and Fly: Six Slurpy Stories (Philomel leron mcclain Jeff Mack, an early reader picture book that uses comic elements books, speech bubbles, and comic panels. This is also a trend in ordinary readers, as evidenced by Benjamin Bear in Fuzzy Thinking by Philippe Coudray leron mcclain and other Toon easy to read comic books.
I Want My Hat Back (Candlewick John Klassen is a complicated leron mcclain picture book with a surprising ending, but it also uses repetition, a lot of gaps, and colored text to help readers determine the nature of the conversation.
Of course, in all directions, there are exceptions. Monkey and Elephant leron mcclain (Candlewick Carole Lexa Schaefer, as evidenced by Galia Bernstein, is more traditional, and I just saw that Kevin Hanks has a new reader coming out this spring from Greenwillow.
I'm not sure it's leron mcclain weird for sure, but we've seen a lot of stories and a lot of mouse elephant books. Ancient Egypt appears in several novels and books about the Titanic, of course, though perhaps not as much as I expected, with the 100-year anniversary is approaching. In YA, pregnancy seems to be cropping up more than in other seasons.
